Project Description: 

Charleston County Public Works (CCPW) is requesting $145,000 in Urban Unincorporated Greenbelt funds for the purchase of 0.17 acres located at 36 Lolandra Ave in West Ashley. This small residential lot floods during heavy rain, and development of this site could be detrimental for the upstream 25 properties on approximately 4-acres. CCPW will look to establish a rainwater garden area filled with indigenous flora, add a drainage inlet into an existing stormwater pipe, and provide a small public greenspace with potential educational signage.
