Board of Zoning Appeals Public Hearing Information

A meeting of the BZA will be held Monday, June 1, 2026 in the Council Chambers, 2nd Floor, Room 249, Lonnie Hamilton, III Public Services Building, 4045 Bridge View Drive, North Charleston, SC 29405. This hearing is open to the public and will be recorded. 

Information on each application, including documents submitted by the applicant, will be available on this site one week prior to the meeting. All comments should be directed to the various public comment methods described specifically for each case.  Inquiries only should be directed to the Zoning and Planning Department (843) 202-7200 or bza@charlestoncounty.org referencing the case number and TMS number.

Public Comment Instructions:

This platform offers a variety of commenting methods for the public to utilize, including survey, email, text, and voicemail comments.  All comments, if received by the public comment deadline established for each meeting, will be included in the packet provided to the Board of Zoning Appeals.  Each case listed below includes the various methods to comment on each case individually - please click into each case and the information is provided under the section titled "Additional ways to participate".

Members of the public wishing to speak at the Public Hearing should sign-up on sign-up sheet which will be available in the Council Chambers by 3:30 pm on Monday, June 1, 2026.

 

The BZA public hearing will be livestreamed (for viewing only) on the Charleston County Government website at: https://www.charlestoncounty.org/departments/county-council/cctv.php
