Community Tour & Compost Giveaway Event - May 16, 2026
Experience firsthand the local transformation of Charleston County's food scraps and yard waste into premium compost! McGill Compost will lead a series of identical free community tours at Charleston County’s Bees Ferry Composting Facility on May 16, 2026. Choose from tour times at 9:00 am, 10:30 am, and 12:00 pm. Each tour lasts approximately 45 minutes and is a family friendly event open to the public.
Closed toes shoes are required, you will be walking around the facility. Personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided. McGill will also provide cold drinks on site.
FREE COMPOST! Don't miss the chance to take home FREE McGill Bees Best Premium Compost! BYOB – Bring Your Own Bucket and fill up to two 5-gallon buckets after the tour. There will be extra buckets available on a first come first serve basis.
